CBS announced on Thursday that it has renewed three popular shows for the upcoming TV season. Fans of “NCIS,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and “NCIS: Hawai’i” can rejoice because these shows will be returning for another season. “NCIS” is currently the number one drama on CBS, averaging over 11.2 million viewers and a 1.0 rating. “NCIS: Los Angeles” is celebrating its 300th episode and ranks ninth in total audience and third in the demo. “NCIS: Hawai’i” comes in at number six in audience and ties for third in the demo. The addition of “NCIS: Hawai’i” has strengthened the franchise, according to CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl.
The network has yet to announce the fate of other scripted shows, such as “B Positive,” “Blue Bloods,” “The Equalizer,” “The Rookie,” “FBI,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” “FBI: International,” “Good Sam,” “Magnum P.I.,” “S.W.A.T.,” and “United States of Al.” Fans eagerly await news on whether these shows will be renewed or canceled.
