Lexi Ainsworth: Parting Words
Ainsworth posted a video on Instagram that details her departure from GH. “Hey, guys,” the actress began her post. “I wanted to come on here and speak to my General Hospital fans and let you guys know that after 10 transformative years both, personally and for my character, that I will be leaving General Hospital.
“I was looking forward to this upcoming storyline because it was inspired by a personal experience of mine,” Lexi Ainsworth said. Ainsworth’s replacement in the character of Kristina, Kate Mansi, who previously played Abby on Days of our Lives, did not provide any further details about the plot of that narrative. “However, I’m in the process of penning my own account from my perspective, which has so far been cathartic and, one hopes, inspirational to other women. So when it’s finished, I’m excited to share that with you guys.
Mutually Beneficial Decision
Ainsworth stated, “While General Hospital has remained a key focus, I have been interested in exploring new professional alternatives that are in line with my changing interests and ambitions. And I have no doubt that this mutually beneficial choice will result in other projects where I can develop my skills outside of the industry.
However, she does say, “I do want to take a moment to address the fans and offer my sincere gratitude to you guys who have supported me over the years. “I am forever grateful for your loyalty, which has been a constant source of inspiration. Without you folks, the show would not be what it is today.
