In what’s going to be one of the hardest episodes for ‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers, we’re going to say goodbye to Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) following the actress’ death on December 19, 2022.
Epiphany was one of our favorite characters, and while it’s never easy seeing anyone leave the world, there is a point where the fond memories begin.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers Wednesday, March 29: Epiphany Johnson Memorial Episode
The show has built this up to be a great send off after what looks like Epiphany was killed in a car accident. That’s our guess as Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) talked to a state trooper when she called Epiphany’s phone.
Her death will rock Port Charles as she was a force of nature and they type of nurse we all wish we could have when we’re sick.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers Wednesday, March 29: Marshall blames himself
As with anything tragic, we all blame ourselves in some way, and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will feel the weight of her death.
He’ll blame himself for urging her into going for her dream of being a doctor, since she wouldn’t have been where she was to be killed had he not.
It’s not a rational thing on his part given how there was no way to see what was going to happen, but grief makes us see and feel in strange ways.
Thankfully, he’ll have his family by his side to help him through this, and it could be a pivotal moment for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) as they’ll come together to help support Marshall.
They’ll see how precious life is and it may be the only thing that’ll get Curtis to look beyond his pride at being lied to and it’ll be a new beginning to blossom out of the tragedy.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers Wednesday, March 29: The Nurse’s Ball’s loss
Not only was Epiphany a great nurse and person, but she was one of the corner stones of the Nurse’s Ball between her personality and singing.
She created some of the most memorable moments on the show through her performances, and with the Nurse’s Ball around the corner it’ll be another reminder that she’s not around.
We expect them to have a brief tribute to her at the event, but it’ll probably be a heartfelt song that she previously performed.
But that’s a little ways away, and we’re curious if we’ll see some of her performances in this episode. Most likely, we’ll get some flashbacks of some of her moments, with a tribute at the end of the episode.
