Actor Tom Selleck spread some holiday cheer by leaving a $2,020 tip for a server at a New York restaurant.
Donnie Wahlberg, Selleck’s “Blue Bloods” co-star, posted a photo of Selleck’s bill with the large tip on Twitter.

“I just learned that my TV Dad #TomSelleck has graciously accepted the #2020TipChallenge at Elios Upper East Side!” Wahlberg took to Twitter. “Dad, I love you. I didn’t start it, but I’m glad I’m a part of it. THANK YOU to everyone who contributed even a small amount extra this year.”

According to Wahlberg’s tweet, Selleck left a note saying, “I am honoring my friend Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘tip challenge’ with my sincere hope for a better 2020.”

In January, Walhberg and his wife, actress Jenny McCarthy, launched another social media challenge, the #2020TipChallenge. At an IHOP in Illinois, the actor left a $2,020 tip.

Since then, people from all over the country have joined in.

An anonymous customer left a $2,020 tip at a restaurant in Ruskin, Florida, this week.

A single mother with three children and another on the way received a sizable tip at the restaurant where she works in Michigan.
