A Cobra Kai star began her career long before the Netflix Karate Kid sequel, stepping into the world of NCIS.

NCIS has welcomed a whole host of actors starting out, including a star from none other than Cobra Kai.

NCIS continues to be one of the world’s longest-running police procedurals with the drama in the middle of airing season 21 on CBS, despite almost all of the original characters now long gone.

Since 2003, there have been a plethora of famous faces who appeared in minor roles in NCIS episodes including the likes of Zac Efron, Jon Cryer, Jamie Lee Curtis, Millie Bobby Brown, Colin Hanks and Glen Powell.

A major Netflix star who may have gone under the radar as a fellow future star is none other than Cobra Kai actress Mary Mouser who was behind Samantha LaRusso in the Netflix Karate Kid series.

The 28-year-old kickstarted her career at a very early age, making minor appearances in shows like CSI, Life Is Wild and Scrubs but in NCIS, her character was vital to Agent Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) story.

Cobra Kai actress Mouser was behind Kelly Gibbs, the late daughter of Agent Gibbs who was killed by drug lord Pedro Hernandez (Thomas Rosales Jr), along with his wife Shannon (Darby Stanchfield).

Both Kelly and Shannon appear in a number of Gibbs’ visions, flashbacks and dream sequences during the show’s early days.

One in particular that fans will remember is when Gibbs sees his wife and daughter in a diner and goes to join them in a booth.

Mouser featured in six episodes in total of NCIS over a five-year period with her final episode airing in season seven in 2010.

Mouser’s time in Cobra Kai ended last month when the Netflix drama concluded with season six, part three.

As the final batch of episodes came out, the actress had something else to celebrate as she had been hiding her romance with Cobra Kai Robby Keene co-star Tanner Buchanan.

Not only are they in a relationship but the pair are also now engaged, sharing the happy news during the show’s last premiere, much to fans’ excitement.
