Pauley has made it clear that she will not be ever returning to her Abby Sciuto role – Mirror US takes a look at why she won’t be a cast member on the show again

NCIS’s Pauley Perrette exited the show at the end of season 15 in 2017 and it is rumored her departure was because of a feud with her co-star Mark Harmon.

Pauley has since made it clear that she will not be ever returning to her Abby Sciuto role – Mirror US takes a look at why she won’t be a cast member on the show again.

In May 2018 the actress opened up about the reason she left the show in cryptic tweets.

The star said in one post that she wanted to “spill the beans” but had concerns it could affect the show’s crew.

She also claimed a “rich, very powerful publicity machine” was keeping her silent and feeding false stories about her

Pauley suggested one person was at the root of these problems in a third tweet.

She wrote: “He did it” and described being bullied by someone on the set and said she was victim to “multiple physical assaults”.

Following her remarks CBS issued a statement in which they said Perrette went to the network with a “workplace concern” and that they “worked with her to find a resolution”.

Perrette then shared another tweet where she told that she wanted to thank CBS for her role.

The actress didn’t name anyone in her tweets, but they came after rumors swirled in 2016 that she had a row with Harmon on the set of the show, after a decade working together.

According to Vanity Fair, Harmon brought his dog to the set and bit a crew member, who needed 15 stitches over the injury.

It was claimed the actor continued to bring his dog to the set after the incident. Perrette claimed she was the only one with the power to confront Harmon about the dog – and it led to a feud between them, according to reports.

Perrette said she was “terrified” of Harmon and had “nightmares” about her time with the actor.

She told how she “fought like hell to keep it from happening again.” She claimed that she was “physically assaulted” for fighting back and lost her job in the process.

Harmon has never responded to her allegations. Perrette landed the lead role in the CBS sitcom Broke after she left NCIS – but the show was canceled after one season in May 2020.

A few months later, Perrette made it clear there was no way she could return to NCIS when she announced in a tweet that she will be retiring from acting.

She shared that she considered quitting after NCIS but Broke was “important, beautiful” for her and her last dance as an actress was on the show.

She also told Hello! Magazine in October 2024 she was at that point in life where she needed to “find authenticity in everything” and going back to acting would take away this authenticity.
