The Sylvester Stallone-led crime drama Tulsa King received an exciting release update earlier this week, with a release date earlier than expected. Now, Stallone treats fans to a sneak peek of the popular series.

The Taylor Sheridan universe is thriving, with many non-Yellowstone creations getting their time to shine. Stallone’s Tulsa King is one of them, which has recently set a release date for September 2025. To celebrate the recent good news, Stallone also treated his followers to a glimpse at The General with a post on Instagram.

“Another day on Tulsa King!” the actor wrote, wearing a bronze three-piece suit with brown leather George Cleverley shoes and smoking a cigar next to a gas station. The post also featured a behind-the-scenes rehearsal of Stallone testing his fighting skills as his stunt double, Freddie Poole, was nearby wearing a similar outfit without the jacket. Stallone also tagged the shoemaker and Emmy-winning makeup artist Fionagh Cush in the post.

The little sneak peek teases even more action for Stallone’s character, Dwight “The General” Manfredi, although it reveals few details about the plot. The Primetime Emmy-nominated series received an exciting release date recently, with other Paramount+ shows receiving release windows as well, and, just like Tulsa King Season 3, brought pleasant surprises.

Landman Season 2 also scored a release window much earlier than anticipated. The Taylor Sheridan series premiered in November 2024, and will release its follow-up season one year later in November 2025. Tulsa King will predate the show by two months, giving Season 3 the chance to shine and wrap before Landman returns.

Jeremy Renner’s Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 also received a release window for October, with Beth and Rip’s Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch setting a reported release window for November, as well.

Tulsa King’s Cast Grew

Stallone is officially coming back as Dwight “The General” Manfred (Stallone), who established a mafia foothold in the titular town of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Per a previous post from social media, Stallone’s character will continue the alliance with Frank Grillo’s Bill Bevilaqua. “This is my friend Frank Grillo,” Sly said in the Instagram video from May 3. “We’re about to do something a little devious in the name of commerce. It’s not like we’re thieves, right? We’re actually trying to retrieve what belongs to us. I have a feeling it’s going to go South.”

Among the newcomers for Tulsa King Season 3 are Bella Heathcote and James Russo, who joined the cast as series regular Cleo Montague and “Quiet” Ray Renzetti in a recurring role, respectively. Comedian Kevin Pollak also joined the Paramount+ crime series as FBI Special Agent Musso, who is set to cause some issues for The General, as he has “an ax to grind.” Pollak also joined the show as a series regular.

Tulsa King returns on Paramount+ in September.
