CBS‘ NCIS: Origins will serve up another blast from the NCIS-verse’s past before breaking for the summer.

As TVLine previously told you, the Season 1 finale — airing Monday, April 28 and titled “Cecilia” (as in Special Agent “Lala” Dominguez’s actual first name) — will find Gibbs (played Austin Stowell) facing a reckoning when the murder of Pedro Hernandez is unearthed.

Arriving at NIS’ Camp Pendleton office to potentially facilitate that reckoning, TVLine can exclusively report, will be Military Police investigator Lara Macy — who in NCIS lore some 18 years later will be Special Agent in Charge at the Office of Special Projects in Los Angeles.

SAC Macy was introduced in the backdoor pilot for NCIS: Los Angeles, which aired as the NCIS Season 6 two-parter titled “Legend.” Louise Lombard (CSI) played Macy in that two-parter, but when NCIS: LA got officially ordered to series, her character was replaced with Linda Hunt’s Operations Manager Henrietta “Hetty” Lange.

Claire Berger, whose credits include Netflix’s The Midnight Club, will play MP investigator Macy in the NCIS: Origins finale, TVLine has learned.

Berger’s Lara Macy is described as an ambitious investigator with sharp instincts and a relentless drive for justice. She is hoping to advance her career and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo, especially in a male-dominated world.

But with Lala (Mariel Molino) and Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid) banding together to try and protect Gibbs — and given the deplorable things that Pedro Hernandez did to cause Gibbs to avenge the deaths of his wife Shannon and daughter Kelly — Macy will have a tough call to make.

CBS’ already-renewed NCIS: Origins continues its freshman run tonight at 10/9c; see which cast member earned a Performer of the Week honorable mention!
