After an incident in 1994, Marcellus Wiley, the spouse of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newcomer Annemarie Wiley, has been accused of sexual assault.
Fresh After Marcellus Wiley, a cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, was accused of sexual assault many years ago, Annemarie Wiley is facing backlash. Although Annemarie has not yet been introduced to the public, she was formally announced as a cast member for season 13 of RHOBH a few months ago. She was mentioned in the promo for the forthcoming episode, therefore it is planned for her to make an appearance in the brand-new episode on Wednesday. But it appears that some news about her spouse is grabbing attention.
In a lawsuit shared by Us Weekly, Annemarie’s husband, Marcellus, was accused of sexual assault and rape by an unidentified former female student while attending Colombia in the 1990s. The lawsuit was filed on November 21, stating that the events happened to the accuser during the fall of 1994 while attending the same college together. The unidentified woman shared that Marcellus has raped her “multiple times in her dorm room.” She also revealed that she was a virgin before her encounter with Marcellus.
Marcellus Has Denied The Assault Allegations
Marcellus refuted the accusations against him on an episode of his Brinx TV show, Never Shut Up, shortly after they were made public. Thanksgiving morning, Annemarie posted a picture of herself and Marcellus along with their three kids on Instagram, looking like they are supporting each other. In the caption, she said, “My amazing family. A wonderful hubby. Children who are thriving…I don’t take any of this for granted or carelessly. I am incredibly fortunate and grateful for everything. Many thanks for Thanksgiving.”
Despite Marcellus denying these allegations, the lawsuit goes into further detail about the alleged assault. The woman claims that she and Marcellus were friendly before the attack happened when she was a freshman, and he was a sophomore in college. She also went into detail about the assault, claiming he said to her, “Ain’t nobody tryina have sex with no virgin!” before arriving at her dorm.
Before trapping her “face-down on the bed” by her “forearm on the back of her neck,” she claimed he “lifted [her], forced her face-down down onto the mattress, and climbed on top of her.” Before he physically dragged her back, the accuser claimed she “feared for her life” and even attempted to run away from him. The residence dean at the time claimed that because she “was not from America,” she had misread Marcellus’ behavior when she reported the attack to the school.
Since The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 was filmed months prior, they likely will not discuss Annemarie’s husband’s assault allegations. It seems both Annemarie and Marcellus are denying the allegations and sticking by each other during this time. Maybe Andy Cohen will have something to say when they film the reunion.
