New Acolyte Character Posters Celebrate Star Wars’ High Republic Heroes & Villains

Star Wars has released new character posters and profiles for the heroes – and villains – of The Acolyte. With four episodes already released, viewers have already been introduced to most of The Acolyte’s cast of characters, but these new character posters and profiles offer a reintroduction. At this point in the show, The Acolyte has already displayed several different sides of the High Republic era, and the latest batch of posters makes those opposing forces plain to see. From heroes to villains to the Witches of Brendok, who don’t seem to fit into either category, the characters of The Acolyte work together to make a very complex story.

In a single thread of posts by Star Wars, the franchise has given a new look at The Acolyte’s already-established characters, which seems to confirm something about the future of the show. Star Wars shared posters and profiles for eight characters, including Osha Aniseya (Amandla Stenberg) and Pip, Yord Fandar (Charlie Barnett), Torbin (Dean-Charles Chapman), Vernestra Rwoh (Rebecca Henderson), Qimir (Manny Jacinto), Mother Aniseya (Jodie Turner-Smith), and Mother Koril (Margarita Levieva). Some of those characters, however, are currently dead, which seemingly confirms that The Acolyte has another flashback episode in store. Since they’re likely to return, Star Wars has given new insight into those characters.

Osha & Pip

The first post in Star Wars’ thread focused on Osha Aniseya and her trusty droid sidekick, Pip. Their poster seems to come from The Acolyte episode 1, when the prison transport crash landed on Carlac. Osha’s profile runs through a bit of her background, as it details her time as a meknek and her history with the Jedi Order and Master Sol. Pip’s profile proves that the droid’s chirps and beeps are “chipper,” and it seems to suggest the many tools at Pip’s disposal will continue to be important to Osha’s time in The Acolyte.

Yord Fandar

Yord’s poster and profile, like Osha’s, doesn’t offer much in the way of new information about him. It confirms that he acts as a guardian at the Jedi Temple, and his poster highlights his overly-serious demeanor, but The Acolyte has already proven both of those parts of Yord’s character. While it isn’t new information, the note about how Yord’s adherence to the rules “can cloud his mind” seems particularly important to remember as The Acolyte continues to raise its stakes.
