NCIS fans are holding out hope for Jimmy Palmer and Jessica Knight to get back together and were excited about their interaction on Monday’s episode
NCIS fans continue to root up for this popular broken up couple as season 22 of the show continues to air.
On December 9, a new episode of the CBS police procedural aired. The episode was titled “Out of Control” and it followed the team as the investigate the murder in connection to a self driving car and Parker continues to be haunted by visions of a little girl named Lily. Within the episode, characters and exes Agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) and Dr. Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) had a interaction that also included characters forensic scientist Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover) and Special Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole).
In the brief scene, the former couple directly talked to each other. Jimmy was telling Jessica, Kasie and Parker as they came out the elevator about the self-driving car and Jessica responded, “it’s not here.” Jimmy then replied that it in fact was here, and how it was found at a repo lot in Fairfax. Jessica just incredulously repeated the phrase, “repo lot” as if to clarify that fact.
The very quick exhange and short scene was shared by one X user, who was so excited to see Jessica and Jimmy interact. They wrote: “JESS AND JIMMY CRUMBSSSSSS,yes i did in fact giggle and kick my feet.” The same poster also tweeted about how the promo for the next episode titled “Humbug” had more “crumbs” of the duo as they are seen in scenes together: “ahhh more jess and jimmy crumbs next week.”
Another posted noted that while they’re behind on the show, they still want Jessica and Jimmy back together: “i’m catching up on ncis, i’m like three episodes behind and istg they better fix jess and jimmy please and thank you. they’ve been through enough.” A third fan responded to US Weekly’s article about TV Couples they needed together in 2025, the fan stated that Jimmy and Jess should be on the list as well: “Bodiela, Ellimax, chenford and tyannie iktr also adding Violet & Carver from Chicago Fire and Jimmy & Jess from ncis”
Fans have been clamoring for the two to get back together since they broke up in the season finale of season 21 after getting together in season 19. Jimmy and Jessica decided earlier thus season to remain apart after talking about their break-up.
