NCIS want this fan-favorite couple, involving Jessica Knight and Jimmy Palmer, to get back together
NCIS fans are still mourning the loss of this fan-favorite couple and want them together as soon as possible.
The CBS police procedural returned with a new episode on Monday, December 1. The seventh episode of the current season 22 followed Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and his involvement with a confidential informant as the team investigates the death of Naval Dr. Roger Carnahan. The confidential informant was the dead researcher’s wife Amber (Sara Paxton).
But it wasn’t Nick who had fans’ attention during last night’s episode. Fans had their eye on Agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) and Dr. Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) and were hoping that the couple would get together again.
One fan exclaimed on X formerly Twitter: “Needed them back together yesterday.” A second fan responded with: “Can someone set them up on a blind date so they can come back please?” Another simply wrote: “Please.” The original tweeter responded to their comment with “actually can’t cope any longer.”
The couple have been broken up since the season 21 finale when Jessica got a job offer that took her to California. The couple first got together officially in season 19 and they decided not to get back together after finally talking about the break-up in episode four of season 22, much to the dismay of fans.
But as nothing happened between the two characters in this episode, the hope is not all lost as both actors Katrina and Brian spoke with US Weekly in an article published on November 4th about the future of the characters after their conversation in episode four.
“There’s definitely still looks between Jimmy and Knight. The attraction is still alive and, you know, these two are still kind of checking each out randomly throughout the series. It’s not gone,” Katrina said.
“People date, sometimes it works out, some people keep breaking up and getting back together, breaking up, getting back together. Or maybe they just break up and it’s always something there,” she continued.
“It’s not as though the door is closed on a romantic revival at some point, but man, the twists and turns are gonna have to happen for that to occur,” Brian added.
