Home and Away’s Cash Newman sparks concern over his erratic behaviour on UK screens next week.
The troubled policeman is called out by his own friends as he refuses to let his ex-fiancée Eden Fowler move on with her new love interest Tim Russell.
This week’s episodes see Eden’s recent decisions come under the spotlight, as everyone finds out that she started seeing Tim after he’d been hired as her younger sister Abigail’s counsellor.
Cash becomes particularly fixated on this, questioning what kind of counsellor would ignore professional ethics by pursuing the sister of a client.
In this Thursday’s episode (February 13), Cash abuses his position in the police as he uses a flimsy excuse to pull over Tim when he’s driving his car with Eden.
Cash is trying to intimidate his love rival and Eden accuses him of harassment.
In follow-on scenes next week, Remi Carter gathers his friends to announce the news that he’s received a $5 million payment from a trust fund that his rich parents set up for him.
Cash interrupts the subsequent celebrations by turning up uninvited and demanding to talk to Eden. When Eden refuses, Cash causes a scene and rants about how Tim is no good for her.
Eden is appalled at Cash’s behaviour and shouts at him to leave. Tim tries to play peacemaker by following Cash outside to talk things through, but this only makes the situation worse.
Just when it seems like Cash might cross the line by punching Tim, a concerned Tane Parata steps in to break things up.
Later, Cash persists with his anti-Tim stance by breaking into the counsellor’s car to snoop around.
Tane catches Cash up to no good and demands an explanation. He and Harper Matheson both confront Cash over his obsession and he promises to rethink his behaviour.
This proves to be a lie, as Cash returns to the police station and stalks Tim’s social media pages. Cash is as determined as ever to find dirt on Tim, but where will this end?
