Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Home and Away returns to UK screens tonight (January 3) after its annual break.
The Aussie soap hasn’t aired an episode since Friday, November 15, when it went off air with a dramatic cliffhanger.
Although Home and Away isn’t scheduled on Channel 5 until Monday (January 6), the good news is that it’s making a return on sister channel 5STAR sooner than that.
5STAR’s first-look airing returns with a new episode at 6.30pm this evening, allowing eager fans to get ahead of the Channel 5 broadcast.
Beforehand at 6pm, there’s also another chance to watch the previous episode from last year, which saw Perri Hayes’ dark storyline come to a head.
When we last visited Summer Bay, Perri’s abusive father Carl paid a menacing visit to the Parata house in the hope of regaining his control over his son.
Perri stood by his decision to stop carrying out criminal jobs for Carl, which sent the villain in to a rage.
Carl dragged Perri out to the Paratas’ backyard pool and pushed his face into the water.
Later, Tane Parata returned home to a disturbing scene outside his home. He found Carl’s body floating in the pool, prompting Perri to declare that he’d killed his evil father.
Meanwhile, Justin Morgan found himself trapped at a remote cabin with Claudia Salini after rejecting her romantic advances.
Refusing to take no for an answer, Claudia tossed Justin’s car keys out into the bush to prevent him from leaving.
The timing couldn’t have been any worse, as Justin was due home to celebrate with his wife Leah Patterson to mark the first anniversary of their engagement.
Elsewhere, Bree Cameron remained in denial over her problems, despite her hesitancy at the hospital nearly costing Alf Stewart his life. What’s going to happen to her?
For fans who prefer to watch at Channel 5 pace, the show returns to its 1.45pm daytime slot on Monday. Meanwhile, Australian fans will have to wait until Monday, January 13 for the show to return on Channel 7.
