Outlander’s official Instagram account has given fans a sneak peek at the main cast of the upcoming prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood.

However, some fans have raised concerns in the comments section.

The new Starz spin-off will follow the parents of Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) across two timelines before their time-travelling escapades kicked off.

The ensemble also includes Rory Alexander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, Sam Retford as Dougal MacKenzie, and Séamus McLean Ross as Colum MacKenzie. Fans were excited to see this preview of the prequel, noting the resemblance between the new actors and their fictional children.

One fan exclaimed: “Holy c*** they cast Brian perfectly!” Another commented on the similarity between Hermione and Cait, while a third said: “Cannot wait for this! Casting is outstanding.”

Despite the excitement, some fans pointed out their main concern in the comments, reports the Daily Record.
