The Big Brother season 26 week 8 Power of Veto ceremony has occurred, and Power of Veto winner Makensy Manbeck used it to save Angela Murray from the chopping block, after she and Head of Household (HOH) Chelsie Baham came up with a plan to backdoor Quinn Martin. Chelsie had originally nominated Angela and Kimo Apaka for eviction, with Angela as her target. However, she then changed her mind and shifted the target to Kimo. Now things have once again taken a turn in the Big Brother season 26 house.
The Big Brother 26 week 8 Power of Veto winner Makensy Manbeck saved Angela Murray, and HOH Chelsie Baham nominated Quinn Martin in her place.
The Big Brother 26 live feeds have now revealed that there was another change of plans, as Makensy and Chelsie decided that they wanted to break up the duo of Quinn and Leah Peters instead of targeting Angela or Kimo, so Makensy saved Angela with the Power of Veto. They thought that Chelsie naming Quinn as the replacement nominee would make the most sense for their games. This is the third time this season that a Power of Veto winner has saved Angela, including when Tucker Des Lauriers and Leah saved her earlier this season.
Did Makensy Make The Right Move Saving Angela?
Makensy’s Move Was A Game-Changer
Although it’s shocking that Angela has once again made it through a week in which her eviction seemed certain, it makes sense for Chelsie and Makensy to target Quinn. It’s likely that he’ll go home because Kimo will have the votes to stay. Quinn has been a big threat throughout the game, and he betrayed the Pentagon alliance, including Chelsie, which was part of the reason that Cedric Hodges went home, so it’s understandable that Chelsie would want him out of the game. Kimo and T’kor Clottey used the information that Quinn gave them to blindside Cedric.
However, it’s puzzling that the Big Brother 26 houseguests keep saving Angela, considering that she’s been such a loose cannon since the beginning of the game. Quinn expressed that he was worried that Angela would be carried to the end of the game because everyone would feel as though they could beat her in the final two. This could really happen as Angela skates by every week, and the houseguests keep saving her with the Power of Veto. Angela hasn’t been loyal to anyone and has blown up several alliances, but yet the houseguests continue to keep her around.
Big Brother 26 has been full of stunning twists and turns. Now that the BB A.I. Arena is over, Quinn has no chance to fight for his safety. He’ll be the first backdoor of the season if the houseguests decide to evict him. However, this season has been so unpredictable that it’s possible that the houseguests could shift their target back to Kimo by the live eviction on Thursday. No matter what happens, they should all continue to “expect the unexpected.”
Big Brother season 26 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
