The confetti fell for Big Brother 26 winner Chelsie Baham on Sunday night as the Jury awarded her all seven votes and $750,000 to go with it. Chelsie dominated the season with her impressive control of the game from week to week and it paid off with an impressive win on finale night.
Now that she’s through to the other side of the Big Brother tunnel, the season’s winner is doing the interview circuit and sharing her thoughts on the season behind her. Check out what Chelsie had to say on her win and experiences from Big Brother 26! Oh and yes, Chelsie answers what she would have done if she won Round 3 over Makensy.
Chelsie’s interview with Sharon Tharp:
Written interview with Dalton Ross at EW:
EW: Whom would you have voted for to win if Makensy had cut you there and brought Cam to the end?
Chelsie: I would’ve voted for Makensy to win.
EW: Why?
Chelsie: Because we carried Cam this whole game! What you mean? This girl played a hell of a game. She deserved to walk away with some money, and if it wasn’t me, she deserved to win. So I was going to vote for her regardless. If I wasn’t sitting next to her, she was getting my vote.
EW: Alright, be real with me. No waffling, no wavering. Let’s say you had won that final HOH: Whom would you have taken with you to the final two?
Chelsie: I was going to take Makensy to the final two had I won, I absolutely was. A couple nights before, I had been processing: Do I make a decision with my head or do I make a decision with my heart? And I just felt like making a decision with my heart was going to leave me with a reward at the end, regardless. So I said I want to leave with my head held high and being proud of who sat next to me. Cam is great, but I felt honored sitting next to Makensy at the end after the game that she’s played. She had the ability to cut me weeks ago, but we chose to protect each other, so I wanted to sit next to her. I would’ve chose her.
Huge congratulations to Chelsie Baham on her fantastic win. All seven votes and not a single eviction vote against her all season. Truly a testament to her skillfully executed game on Big Brother 26!
