Another NCIS Spinoff Is To Blame For NCIS: Hawai’i Cancellation

NCIS: Hawai’i’s cancellation news was followed by something much more than just fans’ usual reaction. Having at first taken it to social media to express their outrage towards CBS’ unfair decision, the fandom went a bit further by creating a whole new petition pleading the network to bring their favorite show back.

Everything inflamed even more when the show’s final episode revealed its major cliffhanger that now has low chances to ever be explained. With all the buzz that is already surrounding NCIS: Hawai’i right now, it turns out that the series was deprived of its deserved time slot by another spinoff from the NCIS’ franchise.

Despite having quite mediocre results upon its release last year, NCIS: Sydney is still doing much better than NCIS: Hawai’i given that the former took the channel’s time slot that originally had belonged to the latter.

This comes as something unfathomable for fans as NCIS: Hawai’i was received much better than its fellow spinoff back in the day. On top of that, NCIS: Sydney wasn’t supposed to arrive at CBS anyway as it was destined to be streamed on the channel’s streaming partner platform Paramount+.

Last year’s massive strikes in Hollywood thwarted many companies’ plans, including ones that CBS had, thus for some reason it had to welcome NCIS: Sydney on its own platform.

However weird it may sound, the overall success among viewers doesn’t seem to matter that much anymore as CBS has been sticking to its trend of canceling high-rated shows for a while now.

The network has recently canceled NCIS: Hawai’i, but given NCIS: Sydney yet another season to continue its run with at the time when the former was initially supposed to air next spring.

With all the disheartening and unjust decisions being made towards NCIS: Hawai’i, fans seem to be quite determined to not let it go that easily at this point. The show’s finale proved that there’s a major cliffhanger that will make fans wonder about it for a long time from now on, but they will still do whatever it takes to at least learn the truth.
