Sylvester Stallone Teases “Devious” Plans For Season 3 Of Taylor Sheridan’S Hit Crime Drama

We may not know when Tulsa King Season 3 will premiere on Paramount+, but star Sylvester Stallone is already teasing the “devious” plans to come for his popular crime drama.

Premiering in 2022, Tulsa King sees Stallone as fish-out-of-water gangster Dwight “The General” Manfredi, who, after being banished from New York, takes up shop in Oklahoma to run his own crime syndicate that he starts from scratch. Season 2 saw the addition of fellow action great Frank Grillo as Bill Bevilaqua, whom Dwight forged a shaky partnership with by the time it was all said and done.

It’s the partnership that Stallone teased will continue in Season 3 in a new Instagram video he posted yesterday (seen below). With production on Tulsa King Season 3 now in full-swing, the star shared a little behind-the-scenes tidbit with Grillo, noting that the pair are set to get up to something pretty juicy next season. “This is my friend, Frank Grillo,” Stallone began, continuing:

“We’re about to do something a little devious in the name of commerce. It’s not like we’re thieves, right? We’re actually trying to retrieve what belongs to us. I have a feeling it’s going to go sideways.”

“I think everything goes sideways eventually,” added Grillo, to which Stallone replied: “So the plan shouldn’t go in a circle, it should go sideways. There it is.” The two shared a laugh before going their separate ways, but it does make us wonder what’s in store for Tulsa King Season 3. Little is known about the plot right now, but after Bevilaqua killed Chickie at the end of Season 2, and Dwight was taken hostage by a group of unknown men, there are all sorts of ways it could go. We at least now know it will explore the partnership between the two more in-depth, but whether it lasts is anyone’s guess right now.

Plans Are in Place for a ‘Tulsa King’ Spinoff

While Season 3 of Tulsa King isn’t expected to premiere until 2026, Season 4 is already in the early stages of development even though it has yet to be officially confirmed by Paramount. There’s little doubt that it will be green lit, however, as the series has proven to be a massive success, drawing huge viewership numbers and critical acclaim. We’d expect nothing less from a series created by Taylor Sheridan, really, and it comes as no surprise either that a spinoff series is also in the works.

Little is known about the project right now, but showrunner Terence Winter did confirm that it will be set in New Orleans, Louisiana. Which characters it will focus on remains a mystery, and it should be noted that, like Season 4 of Tulsa King, the spinoff is still in development and has yet to be given the official go-ahead.

Still, it’s nothing but good news for Tulsa King fans, of which there are a lot of right now. Let’s hope Season 3 adds even more followers to the bunch so that it will continue for at least a few more years. You can check out Seasons 1 and 2 streaming now on Paramount+.
