Tulsa King has cast an actor from the Terminator franchise in a pivotal role. The Sylvester Stallone-led series, which was created for Paramount+ by Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan, has so far run for two seasons and a total of 19 episodes following Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone), a formerly New York-based mafioso who is building an empire in Tulsa after his release from prison. The renewal of Tulsa King season 3 was officially confirmed on March 18 when it went into production.

As per Deadline, Robert Patrick has now joined the cast of Tulsa King season 3 as a major villain, Jeremiah Dunmire. Dunmire is a powerful liquor magnate, and while further details about the character are being kept under wraps, it seems likely that he will provide The General with a fair number of road blocks. Also joining the cast is SEAL Team and The Lost Symbol star Beau Knapp, who will be playing Jeremiah’s son Cole Dunmire, who is “a trust fund country boy with crazy in his eyes.” Both incoming stars will be series regulars in the new season.

What This Means For Tulsa King Season 3

Both Incoming Actors Are Seasoned Professionals

Both stars joining the Tulsa King cast bring a great deal of experience along with them that should aid them in bringing their characters to life. For instance, Beau Knapp is a seasoned television performer with many small screen roles under his belt. In addition to his roles as Drew Franklin in SEAL Team and Mal’akh in The Lost Symbol, he has also appeared in episodes of prominent series including FBI: International, Seven Seconds, L.A.’s Finest, and Bones, as well as Law & Order and its spinoffs Organized Crime and Special Victims Unit.

Robert Patrick is also no stranger to playing imposing villains, having played the iconic T-1000 in James Cameron’s 1991 blockbuster sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Although he did not appear in any of the other Terminator movies, Patrick went on to play villainous characters in numerous other projects, including the alien-parasite-infected Coach Willis in The Faculty, the gang leader Rome in The Marine, and the title character’s father August “Auggie” Smith (also known as White Dragon) in the DC spinoff series Peacemaker.

Our Take On The Tulsa King Season 3 Casting Announcement

Their Series Regular Status Is Promising

Ultimately, it remains to be seen how both the Dunmires figure into the overarching plot of Tulsa King. However, the fact that both Robert Patrick and Beau Knapp are set to be series regulars implies that they will become major players in the world of the series, potentially even continuing to appear in future seasons, should they be greenlit. This makes the future of the series even more promising, as both stars have proven that they have the mettle to play their new characters with aplomb.
