NCIS Tony And Ziva is the spin-off fans have been waiting years for with the first official teaser giving them a taste of what’s to come.
NCIS fans have been longing to see actors Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo reunite on the small screen as Agents Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David since they parted ways in 2013.
After discovering that Ziva was actually still alive after an attempt to kill her in Israel, the pair were reunited off-screen in Paris where they remained to raise their daughter Tali together.
Fast-forward to February 2024 and the spin-off everyone has been waiting for, NCIS Tony And Ziva, was given the go ahead, delving into what the ex-agents’ lives look like now.
Ahead of its release later this year on Paramount+, fans have been given a glimpse of what to expect when Tony and Ziva make their comeback.
Kicking off the teaser in Paris, brief clips are shown of both Tony and Ziva, followed by her hugging a child, presumed to be Tali, at an airport.
The teaser then goes behind the scenes, showing Weatherly and de Pablo, with the former stating: “Tony and Ziva”, as she smiles: “That’s right.”
She continues: “We are revisiting characters that we both really love.”
A series of other snippets are then shown from the spin-off, with the pair presenting official badges and Tony, dressed in a tux, putting his fists up as he prepares to fight an unknown rival.
One clip which really catches viewers’ attention though is when Tony and Ziva are embracing, passionately kissing until someone disturbs this intimate moment.
This is quickly followed by a scene with the co-parents in disguise, Ziva in a blonde wig and Tony donning a distinctive black moustache.
Weatherly continues: “We have this huge adventure but it still has the playfulness and the humour.”
Another noteworthy moment in the teaser is a scene with Tony and Ziva standing side-by-side as she states: “I feel like we’re back at the job.
“Like we should be calling McGee and saying ‘handle this.’”, with Tony then replying: “How’s that going to go?”
The mere mention of their former colleague Timothy McGee, portrayed by actor Sean Murray, is a welcomed link to the original CBS drama.
While there has been no official talk on whether or not any of the stars are going to make a cameo in the spin-off, there is a chance this could happen if their ex-colleagues are being openly spoken of.
The teaser ends with the reveal that a full-on trailer for NCIS Tony And Ziva will be shown during the airing of NCIS season 22’s finale which is to air on Monday, May 5.
De Pablo then tells fans to “enjoy” as Weatherly enthusiastically adds: “And eat it up!”
NCIS Tony And Ziva will debut later this year on Paramount+
