The Starz series Outlander: Blood Of My Blood finally has a release date. Fans can’t wait for the story to continue this summer
Though Outlander is nearing its end, fans will soon get to learn more about the universe in its upcoming prequel.
The Starz series Outlander: Blood Of My Blood is set to be released on August 8. In May 2022, it was revealed that a prequel detailing the stories of how both Jamie’s and Claire’s parents met, titled Outlander: Blood Of My Blood, was in the works. Now, the story is here, coming to your screen this summer.
The series goes into the origin stories of the characters from the original show, including Jamie, Claire and others. . A first look has been released, and fans can’t get enough. This comes as Outlander will wrap up the story in an eighth and final season later this year or early next.
Promising to transport viewers from the “war-torn battles of World War One to the sweeping Highlands of 18th Century Scotland”, this prequel promises “two new love stories filled with loyalty, passion and desire.”
Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp, will be played by Hermione Corfield and Jeremy Irvine. Harriet Slater and Jamie Roy will star as Jaime’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser.
Viewers responded to the news on X, saying they can’t wait for the spinoff. Luckily they won’t have to wait long.

The series, which is expected to consist of 10 episodes in total, will be available to stream weekly on Saturdays on MGM+. If there are no breaks between airing episodes, then the grand finale of Outlander: Blood Of My Blood could be released on Saturday, October 11.
The seventh season of Outlander was split in two parts: the first aired in June 2023, while the second debuted in November 2024. The eighth season has not received a release date, but it’s anticipated to be released in late 2025 or early 2026.
