Home and Away schemer Nerida Mullins strikes again in a dramatic attack scene next week.
Nerida decides to target Eden Fowler in a joint revenge against Cash Newman and Tim Russell.
Viewers know that Nerida developed a dangerous obsession with Tim when he was working as her counsellor. She recently gatecrashed Lyrik’s rehearsal retreat and carried out a brutal attack on Tim, which left him in a coma.
In upcoming scenes, Tim finally regains consciousness at the hospital and he tells the police that Nerida was the one who attacked him.
This clears Cash’s name after DS Mark Townsend’s mistaken belief that he carried out the assault.
As details of Nerida’s crime are released to the media, Cash panics as his recent deal with her immediately goes up in smoke.
Cash had promised to take the blame for Tim’s injuries in return for Nerida guaranteeing Eden and Tim’s safety. With the agreement now worthless, Cash fears that Nerida could pose a threat again.
Cash is reinstated by the police force and oversees the case alongside Townsend, desperate to locate Nerida before it’s too late.
After carefully researching Nerida’s agenda, Cash knows that she now has double the motive for wanting to target Eden. Any move against Eden would naturally devastate Cash, who she feels betrayed by, as well as eliminating a perceived rival for Tim’s affections.
As Cash tries to regain control of the situation, he encourages Eden to stay at Tim’s hospital bedside as it has a police guard.
However, Eden’s brother Levi offers conflicting advice by encouraging her to be upfront with Tim about how she loves Cash rather than him.
Levi draws on his own relationship mistakes as he implores Eden to realise that honesty is the best policy.
When Eden takes this advice and tells Tim that she still loves Cash, he’s heartbroken and asks her to leave the hospital.
Sadly, Cash’s worst fears are realised as Nerida is lurking nearby.
Seizing her chance now that Eden is away from the police protection, Nerida sneaks up on her and attacks her with a syringe.
Eden immediately loses consciousness, leaving her at Nerida’s mercy. What does Nerida have planned?
