Former Home and Away star Sam Frost has detailed her health struggles during pregnancy.
The Jasmine Delaney actor announced last month she was expecting her second child with partner Jordie Hansen.
The couple welcomed their first child, Ted, in 2023, one year after they announced their engagement.
The Bachelor Australia winner has since opened up about her difficult pregnancy following her diagnosis with hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition characterised by extreme morning sickness that can see parents vomit several times a day and cause dehydration, weight loss, and in extreme cases premature birth.
The soap star revealed she had spent three months “literally in the foetal position” as she dealt with the crippling condition.
“I was unable to eat or even swallow water without throwing up, so it wasn’t a fun ride, especially while trying to look after a toddler,” she told Stellar Magazine.
However, Frost added: “It’s an enormous privilege to be able to carry a baby so I don’t like to talk about the negatives too much.”
Amber Rose, Amy Schumer, Kelly Clarkson, and Duchess of Sussex Kate Middleton have been open about their experience with hyperemesis.
Frost also opened up about her experience with motherhood and how “fulfilled” she feels parenting her son.
“I feel really peaceful and fulfilled. I love being a mum. I’m a family person and an introvert, so home is my safe space,” she continued.
Announcing her pregnancy, Frost posted a family photo debuting her growing bump in a green bikini top and shorts.
In the caption, she wrote: “Our family is growing from three to four. It has been a wild ride, but we are extremely grateful our little one is healthy and doing okay in there. We are all very excited to meet you, especially your big brother!
“Huge thank you to our family and friends for all their love and support over these past few months. We love you.”
